This expansive two-bedroom property is divided into two distinctive structures, the Water Palace and the Rice House.
The Water Palace encompasses a vast Living Room stretching along one side of the 17 metre free-form pool, the Master Suite with expansive bathroom, a full kitchen and dining area for eight, plus a separate guest bathroom.
Outside are four sun loungers and a breakfast nook, as well as lush, tropical gardens with a charming pond.
Across the deep-blue pool is the Rice House, built in the style of a traditional Balinese Lumbung. Downstairs is a huge, shaded daybed area, bathroom with outdoor shower and butler’s kitchen with maxi-bar, while the upstairs Pool Suite can sleep two adults or up to six children on two levels, with a deep balcony to catch the sun.
This fully-staffed villa can either be the ultimate beachside, one-bedroom romantic retreat, or the perfect two-bedroom solution for one or two couples plus, unusually, up to four extra kids.
Both bedrooms have luxury mattresses with 1,000 thread-count linen, a choice of down or pillows, black-out curtains, large flatscreens with cable TV and Blu-ray disc players, plus both air-conditioning and overhead fans.
Master Suite In The Water Palace
An arc of French doors opening to the swimming pool defines the space of the glamorous Master Suite in the Long House. The curved wooden panels of the king-size bed and cabinets betray their origins as part of an antique Phinisi schooner, matched with an elegant chaise longue and dressing table.
The bed is cocooned in a curtain of mosquito netting that cascades from runners set into the ceiling – an innovative system that enables them to be drawn back for a sense of space during the day.
Non-slip marble floors flow into a large ensuite bathroom, with a dressing area, twin washbasins, freestanding bathtub for two, and a walk-in rain shower, open on one side to the fresh air.
Pool Suite In The Rice House
A uniquely flexible bedroom space, designed to delight youngsters, yet equally suited to a romantic couple, a family or just the kids.
Up wooden stairs (best suited to ages eight and above), lies a king-size bed (convertible to twins) and a double-bed set into an alcove like a ship’s berth. A second ladder leads to a small mezzanine with two sofas, one of which provides two single mattresses, allowing this unique space to sleep two adults plus up to four pre-teens children, or even six kids.
The bedroom’s polished timber floor extends through sliding glass doors onto a balcony framed by the Lumbung’s bonnet-shaped roof, with twin plantation chairs overlooking the villa’s pool and gardens.
Downstairs, glass doors from the bathroom’s dressing and vanity area lead to a pebble-floored courtyard with an open-air rain shower, while a small kitchen with full maxi-bar services the Rice House, its expansive daybed area and the pool itself.
The Floating Annexe
Guests can also rent this adjacent and fully self-contained one-bedroom suite, with a separate living room, giving a three-bedroom configuration.
The Water Palace lives up to its name with a striking space housing four areas for relaxing, playing, dining or entertaining, cooled by both fans and air-conditioning.
At one end a huge, deep sofa allows up to eight guests to socialise around the low hardwood coffee table or watch the 43-inch HD TV, connected to both cable TV and Blu-Ray disc player.
Then a full size pool-table creates a second area for guests, adjacent to a square dining table seating eight, serviced by a full-sized galley kitchen at the other end of this oversized room, which also has a separate loo.
The Water Palace’s sliding glass doors open onto a wooden pool deck and four sun loungers, dappled by sunlight gently filtering through bamboo roofing; as well as a pretty garden patio, where a circular table and two chairs are guarded by an ancient frangipani tree.
The Rice House hosts a shaded daybed area seating at least four people, perfect for morning or afternoon tea, followed of course by cocktail hour. This space also provides a safe play area for younger kids away from the edge of the pool and out of the sun, yet still visible to parents or staff.
High walls surround the gardens of the property, creating a silent sanctuary away from the bustle and crashing waves of Seminyak Beach just minutes away.

FAMILIES AT LATALIANA VILLAS
The entire LataLiana Estate is a paradise for parents and children alike, with plenty of safe places to play both in and out of the sun, toys, kid’s bikes, lots of TVs and a thousand DVDs, a Sony PlayStation, and of course great swimming pools with shallow areas, steps and pool toys.
The staff at LataLiana love looking after their junior guests, giving parents plenty of opportunity to stay in and relax or go out explore, with full-time babysitting at just a small extra cost.
Although our full kitchens allow guests to easily prepare meals for fussy eaters or babies – why not simply brief your Butler on your requirements and meal schedules and let us take care of the rest. Nemo fish fingers in the TV room? Kung Fu Panda fried rice by the pool? No problem. The chefs can customise all meals to suit all children’s taste buds.
And don’t worry about packing all that cumbersome kids’ equipment as we can provide you with everything from pool safety fences to baby baths, cots, high chairs and seats.
LataLiana is also well-suited to older kids, with plenty of places and things to do, both inside and out, allowing down-time for parents.
Treatments at LataLiana are courtesy of the highly-trained therapists from Spa Venus at our nearby sister property, Villa Kubu, who can be summoned to your villa with just a little notice, offering a tantalising array of holistic treatments using all organic, locally-sourced products.
