Classic Bali Luxury Villa with 3 Bedroom in Seminyak V-301

Start from $240.00 per night

Seminyak, Bali

The villa is a classic Bali luxury villa providing a taste of authenticity and charm and a tranquil haven right in the heart of Seminyak. Spacious old-growth gardens make it a perfect place to relax, in an oasis of flower-filled calm, amidst the hustle and bustle of Bali’s most chic shopping, dining and nightlife district.

Newly renovated in late 2013, the villa combines classic Balinese “kampung” architecture with modern-day convenience. This very substantial Bali villa property offers 4 full bedrooms and is on an unusually large piece of land for a Seminyak villa – over a quarter of an acre in size. The villa itself was carefully constructed around magnificent, old coconut and mango trees. Scattered through this Balinese “forest” are various living and bedroom pavilions, a small Hindu temple and a private swimming pool with a hardwood deck.

This Seminyak villa’s four bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom, offer a variety of choices to its guests, and each room has been carefully configured with the same amenities so the villa can actually be described as having 4 master bedrooms. Among villas in Bali, rarely does one villa manage to achieve so many of the desirable characteristics for a rental villa in Bali as are found at the villa.

The extensive living pavilion contains separate seating areas for entertainment and relaxation and the nearby dining and kitchen pavilion can host up to 10 guests. The private swimming pool is bordered by a substantial sundeck offering shade and sun in both the morning and the afternoon. Beside the pool is a traditional Balinese massage pavilion where you can experience the spa treatments for which the island is justly famous, and you can do so in the privacy of your own Bali luxury villa.

The villa setting is extensive, carefully nurtured, tropical lushness. Every corner, every wall is bursting with greenery. The island’s rich volcanic soil provides tropical flora that will enchant you each day you stay with us.

The villa offers physical facilities to host each of its guests in comfort, and a well-trained team of five wonderful Balinese staff will ensure that your holiday at Villa is a truly memorable one.

BEDROOMS

The villa has four guest bedrooms. All have king-sized teak beds, ultra-comfortable mattresses, teak or other tropical-wood wardrobes, dual reading lamps, mini-safes, 32-inch flat-screen TVs, DVD players and international plug adapters. All of the bedrooms have classic alang-alang ceilings which provide a wonderful feeling of space.

Each bedroom also has its own ensuite bathroom with granite counters, twin basin vanity basins, large mirrors and generous marble-clad showers.

DINING ROOM AND KITCHEN

Following traditional Balinese architectural style, the kitchen is located within its own individual building, just a few meters from the main structure of the villa. The cozy but well-appointed kitchen has all the modern conveniences and a large counter that bridges through to the adjacent open-air dining room.

The dining room has three sides open to the flower-filled gardens and is furnished with a large antique hardwood dining table that comfortably seats ten people. After dinner coffee in the villa’s living room is just steps away.

LIVING ROOM

The villa’s living pavilion is the social center of the house, placed between the swimming pool to the north and the dining pavilion to the south.

The elegant pavilion actually contains two distinct living areas, each with its own large sofas, loungers and art. One is centered around a 61-inch flat-screen TV and home theater offerings dozens of channels of satellite TV. The villa also possesses an extensive library of DVDs. The other living area, with its large built-in, L-shaped couch, comfortable seating and Balinese day bed, is perfect for entertaining, socializing, or just lazing around.

Open on three sides, with a high-pitched alang-alang roof, the living pavilion enjoys marvelous day- and night-time breezes (ceiling fans are also there to assist), and it is just steps away from the swimming pool whenever it’s time for your next refreshing dip.

The natural beauty of the old-growth garden and the distinctive “kampung” layout of individual pavilions that make up the villa on a large and long piece of land provide a unique holiday offering. An array of tropical plants, ferns, and bougainvillea add to the charm of mature coconut and mango trees. Living spaces and “destinations” to rest and relax are found throughout the property, including a tropical-hardwood sundeck and a private swimming pool. The villa follows traditional Balinese building planning, including a small temple devoted to the Hindu gods and paying homage to the “mother temple” of Besakih, located on the slopes of Mount Agung.

The property is accessed through a driveway from the street, a setback which ensures the villa offers a degree of peace and quiet that can be a challenge to find in today’s Seminyak. Villa’s entrance opens onto into a private parking area that holds two cars comfortably and more when necessary.

A path that begins beside a freestanding Balinese gate leads north through the property, past the first structure, a charming guest house which contains one of the villa’s four ensuite bedrooms. The guest house offers a degree of privacy from the main house, has its own small terrace, and many guests find its proximity to the entrance useful.

The path leads next to the kitchen and dining pavilion on the west side of the property. To the right and ahead are the other bedrooms and the living pavilion, with the pool and massage bale beyond.

The villa follows the classic architectural vernacular of the island: stone-footed merbau-wood columns and thatched roofs. The thatch is a local grass known as alang-alang which is carefully dried and then painstaking tied by hand to sturdy bamboo supports. All of the rooms except the kitchen have these very high roofs that display intricate Balinese workmanship and dramatically increase the interior space of each room. For rooms that are open air, such as the living and dining room, these high ceilings dramatically assist airflow and magnify breezes.

One great thing about the villa is that it seems to adjust in size and configuration depending on the number of guests. It never seems too big, or too small, even when full of guests and their visitors.

THE GARDEN

The property is over a quarter of an acre in size, and the villa itself was carefully constructed around magnificent, old-growth coconut and mango trees, some of which are now more than 30 meters (100 feet) tall.

The villa is surrounded by carefully nurtured tropical lushness. Every corner, every wall is bursting with greenery. The island’s rich volcanic soil supports a huge range of plants and flowers that will enchant you every day you stay with us.
