Villa Nica rests in an exclusive enclave of luxury residences in Pererenan, on Bali’s south-west coast. Beyond a small stream that edges the garden is an expanse of emerald rice fields unfurling to the horizon— a reminder that this quiet area retains its rural charm and moves to a traditional rhythm unchanged across generations. There are a number of local cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance, and a large Pepito supermarket. Just 3km away are endless beaches of black volcanic sands bordering some of the island’s best surf breaks, while 8km further up the coast is the revered Tanah Lot sea temple. In sharp cultural contrast, hip happening Canggu with its restaurants and nightlife is merely 4km to the south.
