Another place that you must try is Bebek Tepi Sawah Restaurant, which is also famous for its duck dishes. It is a huge outdoor restaurant with many pavilions surrounding paddy fields. The crispy duck on its own was very good, but what made it even better was the sambal. We also tried the grilled duck – a pretty decent version, but not as impressive as the crispy duck. The highlight here is the legendary Bebek Betutu, or Balinese smoked duck. It is difficult to decide between Bebek Bengil and Bebek Tepi Sawah, but if we had to choose, the latter edges out for its beautiful paddy fields backdrop.
