Individualbali.com – The subject of a Special Tourist Arrival Visa (VKSKKW), has increased to 60 countries. Citizens from these 60 countries can enter Indonesia through 9 airports, 11 sea ports and 4 Cross-Border Posts. This is regulated in the Circular Letter of the Director General of Immigration Number IMI-0584.GR.01.01 of 2022 dated

27 April 2022 regarding Ease of Immigration in Order to Support Sustainable Tourism During the 2019 Corona Virus Disease Pandemic. Meanwhile, there are no additions in countries that are subject to Special Tourist Visit Visa Free (BVKKW). This new policy has been effective since April 28, 2022 and accordingly, the Circular Letter of the Director General of Immigration Number IMI-0549.GR.01.01 dated April 5, 2022 regarding the same matter is revoked and declared invalid.

“There are additional Immigration Checkpoints (TPI) that serve visas on arrival. For airports, there is the addition of Zainuddin Abdul Majid in West Nusa Tenggara and Hang Nadim in the Riau Islands. Benoa Harbor in Bali, Dumai in Pekanbaru, and Tanjung Balai Karimun in the Riau Islands can now also be equipped with visa-on-arrival facilities.” explained the Sub-Coordinator of Public Relations of the Directorate General of Immigration, Achmad Nur Saleh.

To obtain BVKKW or VKSKKW, foreigners must show a valid nationality passport and still valid for at least 6 (six) months, return ticket or canal ticket to continue traveling to another country, proof of payment for visa on arrival (for VKSKW), and proof of ownership insurance at an insurance company with an Indonesian legal entity which includes health financing as long as the foreigner is in the territory of Indonesia.

“The VKSKKW tariff of Rp. 500,000 is in accordance with Government Regulation no. 28 of 2019. The extension is the same, the fee is IDR 500,000. The residence permit originating from the VKSKKW can be extended once for a period of 30 days and carried out at the immigration office according to the area where the foreigner lives while in Indonesia.” Obviously Ahmad.

Achmad emphasized that the residence permit from BVKKW and VKSKKW cannot be transferred. The holder is also not allowed to apply for an extension of the residence permit through the granting of an onshore visa. In addition, Achmad also appealed to foreigners and tourism industry players to comply with immigration rules. The owner or manager of the inn is obliged to provide information or data regarding foreigners staying overnight to facilitate the supervision of foreigners.

“Foreigners who are proven to have misused their residence permits will be subject to immigration sanctions. Likewise, if they are proven to have violated health protocols and disrupt public order, they will be subject to sanctions according to the applicable laws and regulations,” concluded Achmad.

BVKKW or VKSKKW can be used by foreigners to carry out tourism activities or government duties in international activities of a state or government nature. To carry out these activities, apart from meeting the requirements as stated above, foreigners must also attach an invitation letter to attend the conference/trial/meeting issued by the Ministry/Agency/Agency of the Republic of Indonesia.
