Individualbali.com – Good news came from Bali Zoo which is located on Jalan Raya Singapadu, Batuan, Gianyar, Bali. A very cute child was born at the Zoo.

The elephant boy, born on March 17, 2022, was the result of breeding the Sumatran elephant or Elephas maximus sumatranus with a female elephant partner named Terry (39) and a male elephant named Budi (34).

The match between Terry and Budi has been carried out since 2017 and finally managed to mate in May 2019. However, the male baby has not yet been named.

“This is the first elephant birth at the Bali Zoo since Bali Zoo has owned elephants since 2011. This male elephant calf was born healthy and weighs approximately 80 kilograms, at 01.00 WITA in the morning,” said Ade Diah Savitri as Assistant Curator of Bali Zoo, Saturday.
