Cuca presents great tapas and desserts in a casual dining setting overlooking a gorgeous garden and coconut grove. The restaurant is located in front of the Kayumanis Jimbaran Private Estate and Spa, and features three distinctive spaces, namely an interactive food bar alongside a long teak counter, a relaxed and intimate dining room, and a chilled out cocktail bar and garden lounge with sea breezes. Chef and restaurateur Kevin Cherkas presents western cuisine using locally sourced ingredients prepared in an open kitchen. Items are reasonable priced, from IDR 30,000, and must-tries include pulled pork and mushroom croquettes, and the special fire-baked seafood rice with marinated prawns, sliced fish, tender octopus, vegetable sofrito and optional addition of soft-shell crab. Cuca also offers cooking or ‘tasting’ classes that provide a great insight into local ingredients and the chef’s techniques.
